John Keehler

John is a digital marketing veteran, with more than 15 years experience growing brands in the digital space for startups and agencies alike. As Director of Digital Strategy and Emerging Platforms, he is instrumental in the planning and execution of all digital work for The Richards Group, the largest independent advertising agency in the US. He leads an incredible team that works tirelessly to set directions for clients’ brands in the digital space and ensure that the digital and traditional strategies are aligned. Together with his team, John creates and curates digital ecosystems around the roles of brands’ digital touchpoints – websites, mobile experiences, social media, online advertising and any new technology that becomes available. He’s led digital strategy for clients such as Home Depot, Chick-fil-A, Travelocity and Walmart, to name a few.

John’s passion is for emerging trends and new technologies, and he’s been involved groundbreaking digital marketing work, including pioneering some of the first commercial efforts in blogging, podcasting and social media. He also keeps the agency and clients up on the latest and greatest as the head of our Digital Nerve Center series of lectures and guest speakers.

When he’s not hard at work for The Richards Group, John is hard at work educating the next generation of digital experts at Southern Methodist University, UT Dallas, Boulder Digital Works and the University of Colorado.
