Derek DeBusk is a Certified Parks and Recreation Professional with over 12 years of experience working in the field of parks and recreation. After graduating from Texas A&M University with a Sports Management degree and is currently working on his Master's in Business Administration from Tarleton State University. He started his career with the City of Fort Worth's Park and Recreation Department. He spent 9 years with Fort Worth beginning as a Recreation Programmer and promoted to Community Center Supervisor before leaving to take a new position with the City of Arlington. DeBusk joined the Arlington Parks and Recreation team in December 2013 as Facility Manager at Dottie Lynn Recreation Center. Since joining Arlington Parks and Recreation Department he has been promoted to the Rental and Lake Services Manager position. Derek's responsibilities include management of the Bob Duncan Center and Lake Arlington operations and general oversight of athletic field, park pavilions, and open field reservations. Other duties include coordination of department wide special events as well as business development through park space activation and partnerships.
